Mark Stewart Greenstein is a businessman, former lawyer, and educator from Hartford, Connecticut. During law school, he supported himself teaching SAT prep courses. Believing he could do better for students, he founded his own tutoring firm in 2001. Since then, he has helped over 10,000 high school students enter competitive colleges and has helped many youngsters improve their math, English, and Science abilities.

His current businesses are Education Excellence, which gives students more post-graduate opportunities through private guidance counseling, and Firm Connections, which helps under-employed people build stability and financial success. Mark is also the founder and lead solicitor working to bring international firms to Connecticut for economic development.

Mark is a liberty-minded Environmentalist American democratic egalitarian republican leader and co-founder of the EPIC Party (Every Politically Independent Citizen). He has run for public office nine times since 2000, including campaigns for President (2000 NH Primary, 2024), U.S. Senate (2006 NY vs. Hillary Clinton, 2024 Vermont), Governor of Connecticut (2018), and various state legislative seats.

His political philosophy is best described as "Conserva-tarian," Jeffersonian, "JFK Democrat," and "small l" libertarian—what MLK and Barry Goldwater would want in a modern candidate. He advocates for socially-permissive, fiscally-strict governance and believes independents are the proper "party" to heal America, restore harmony, restore American principles, and keep future generations from shouldering unreasonable debt.

Mark has been featured in major news outlets including C-SPAN, New Hampshire Union Leader, Connecticut Public Radio, CT Mirror, Hartford Courant, Burlington Free Press, VT Digger, CT Post, and Brattleboro Reformer. He maintains an extensive video library of over 1,135 policy videos on YouTube under "Stewart For Liberty" and has written over 100 articles on governance, policy, and political reform.
